Hitori no Shita: the Outcast is a chinese/japanese anime adaptation of the chinese webcomic Under One Person: the Outcast by Dong Man Tang and published by Tencent from Feburary 2015. It follows the story of Chou Sohan who was attacked by zombies on his way to visit his deceased grandfather in the graveyard.
Chou Sohan was saved by a girl with knives, Fu Hōhō, whom he continues to encouter going foward, and eventually learning that the martial art that his grandfather taught him, Kitaigen, is sought by a lot of people with ulterior motives. The story follows Sohan’s attempt to learn about his grandfathers real identity and his connection with Fu Hōhō.
Streaming oringinally in Chinese and for the Chinese market, translation for the Japanese and English audience was not as streamlined as many other Japanese animes. It however reached the Japanese market and the Japanese versions were picked up by Crunchyroll who released both Season 1 and Season 2 of the show. Season 3 and Season 4 however, has not made it to Japan and has remained in Chinese for the Chinese market hence the unavailabilty of later seasons.
