Jujutsu Kaisen Filler List
Jujutsu Kaisen is, without doubt, one of the best new generation anime series out there, with the likes of Fire Force, My Hero Academia, and Black Clover.
Produced by MAPPA and adapted from a manga series of the same name (written and illustrated by Gege Akutami), Jujutsu Kaisen is an ongoing anime with only a season, that started airing towards the end of 2020. It also has an anime movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, that is still in cinemas at the time of writing. In February 2022, the anime was announced for a second season, which will premiere in 2023.
Jujutsu Kaisen gained popularity in the Shonen anime community with its unique characters—with each one owning their own identity and ideals—and power system. Gege Akutami creates a power system that revolves around what she identifies as “Cursed Energy,” with well-defined rules and drawbacks.
Akutami-sensei sees to it that there’s no unnecessary display of unexplained powers during the fight scenes. It would also be safe to say that the sexy man of the show, Satoru Gojo, contributed a tiny bit to its success, if you know it then you know it.
In a modern-day Japan that is oblivious to the existence of cursed spirits, a school exists. A school that practices jujutsu sorcery and that has taken charge of protecting the people from these demons that exist only to cause mayhem.
Jujutsu Kaisen follows the story of a boy named Itadori Yuji who comes upon and swallows the finger of the most powerful Curse, Ryoumen Sukuna. Yuji, now, has to find the remaining fingers and consume them so Sukuna can be completely exorcised from the world.
With only the first season of the anime out, Jujutsu Kaisen is packed with 24 episodes that will keep you bound to your seat and your eyes glued to your screen. The first season is adapted from the first 63 chapters of the manga.
Definitely worth watching, for all the anime fans who are yet to do so. Even as we wait for the second season that comes out in 2023, it is only right that the good news is announced at this point.
